    Fieldpiece Wireless Tool Demo

    Hey guys,

Here is a video that demostrates Fieldpieces line of wireless of tools. This is real world application. I used my neighbors system as a guniea pig because my AHU is in the crawlspace. It took just a few minutes to learn how to use and operate these tools.

It was very easy to sync and record all the info using the SMAN4, HG3, SDP2, SC57, and ET2W.

Thanks for taking the time to video it. Pretty cool technology they've got going at fp.

Looks like you got the update to work. Great job on the demo.

What was the problem with it the first time you tried to up grade it?

I just reinstalled the firmware on the computer and tried it again.

It worked on the second try.

Does the HG3 have a display light?

    Yes. It is blue.

When I turned on the backlight, you couldn't see the display.

Thanks, but next time you do a video with a smart phone, make sure the camera is horizontal instead of vertical!
    Just say no to VVS!

Also, the back light on the HG3 would have helped with visibility.
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

    Fieldpiece Wireless Tool Demo

Yes. This is my first video so there is a little learning curve. Thanks for the tip, Mark.

I tried to use the backlight on the HG3 and it just made the visibility worse.

I think I'll go ahead and pick up an HG3 in the next month or so, to go with my SDP2, and maybe an anemometer head.

If Fieldpiece comes out with a wireless SMAN that uses standard 10kohm thermistors, I'll have to seriously consider that too, but 5 DRSA's is enough for now!

The HG3 and SDP2 are awesome tools. I used them this morning. I highly recommend them.

I had a system low on charge. I mounted my SDP2 in the ductwork and charged the system via SMAN's. With the HG3, I was able to watch the delta t as I adjusted the charge.

I used the SDP2 to check a dehumidifier Friday. It was great to be able to test incoming RH and outgoing RH at the same time to determine correct dehumidifier performance.

And with the USB firmware updates, the possibilities are endless.

This was awesome...thanks for taking the time. You have taken this boring tool forum to the next level. Now this forum is a great learning experience for all of us. My hats off to you.

You are slowly filling the shoes of the great PaysonHVAC of old.
