johnson controls AP-VMA1420-0 repair
I have an account with several thousand AP-VMA1420-0 and the coupling that connects the motor to the shaft have started breaking about 60 this year alone . Been talking with JCI to see if they sell a rebuild kit or just the coupling but no luck yet. Has anyone found a source of replacements or a fix for it.
Thanks
Walter

Walter,
JCI is no longer selling the AP-VMA1420 N2 VAV controllers as componets for the product are near impossible to get any more. Their replacement will be the new "MS-VMA1832" or "FX-" PCV1832....one feature of the new VMA is that the gear/coupler section is replaceble. Not availible on the old VMA. Some changes with wall sensors may have to happen depend of what you have. Here are link to lit on products.

Good luck, Dave

In most cases you will not need to change the wall stat. They come with a nice wiring harness. To be honest my opinion is the #1 drawback is your programming and commissioning it with CCT and some customers might be experienced with HVACPro.. I haven't looked into it but its a pretty fair bet your not likely to be commissioning them through passthru either.

TMZs are the main stats that dont work with the vmas. The rest should be fine.

Does anyone know where to get replacement DP sensors for the VMA1420? I work for a company that repairs them but I can not source this part anywhere. It is a Setra sensor and it has a range of 0-1.5 or 0-1 in WC. Even though the units that I have seen do not have an issue with this senor would like to find a source just incase.
