    Vane anemometer

I just started looking into purchasing a vane anemometer. Anyone have any suggestions, or anything to stay away from? Thanks.

Although it is not a true HVAC instrument, I just bought a Kestrel 1000 vane anemometer.

I'm happy with the instrument so far. 5 year warranty, made in USA, pretty tough unit and if it goes out of calibration, a new impeller is about $20 and can be replaced without tools.

    Under $100

Just bought a fieldpiece. Haven't used it yet but it seems like a quality instrument.
