Carbon Monoxide
Hi - I searched the forum first "Dryer Heat" but couldn't find an answer to this. (Though there was a somewhat helpful article).
Years ago, we converted our old garage (not attached, part of the lower-level) to a storage room, and added an attached garage. The storage room doesn't get a lot of heat. Not a big deal. However, the laundry room is adjacent to it and opens into it (Doorway, but no door, in-between). The gas dryer actually vents through the common wall into the storage room and then out the back wall via a fixed aluminum pipe.
My wife asked today "why don't we just vent the Dryer INTO the Storage Room in the winter to keep the Storage and Laundry Rooms warmer".
Well, we only run it a couple of days a week, but she has a point. Those are the days we're home and using the rooms. Yes I would get proper vent, and Yes I would get one of those thingies that acts as a lint trap and no, we don't use anything in the dryer except fragrance-free Bounce sheets.
I know there's a good reason not to do this, just not sure what it is.... 8-}
Thanks

Carbon Monoxide
Karst means cave. So, I search for caves.
Large quantities of water vapor, and yeah, with a gas drier there is the whole carbon monoxide thing...
same reason you don't vent the furnace and water heater into the house.
Not this guy again....
Ah come on guys this is a great idea you won't need a humidifier, can double as a sauna in the summer. Geez I think you're just jealous you didn't think of it........ ........
I think you ought'a patent that idea
actually they make these kind of vents with a damper to turn it on and off, but you definitly wouldnt want to do it with gas
Ah yes - Right - Point Taken.
Now there's a thread for the next guy to search on..
Thanks!

Not waking up the next morning would do the trick. Go buy a free standing heater that you can plug into your wall. Walmart or target should have them.
If your not getting the results you desire then change. People change from either desperation or inspiration.

If done properly? Now that's a good one.
Look you guys, Mother Nature provides for some degree of balance by what we commonly call the darwinian process. Ya'll are upsetting the balance.
I wonder how he heats his garage and or warms up his car?
And on point, I wonder if an HRV can work here?
That'll be enough. Go kick your dog if you're bored. The man asked a question. He doesn't need to be kicked by you guys.
Perhaps you should have read the instructions before calling.
