    Every where I turned

Stopped counting after 12 or so...I can't believe these things were inspected.

That's crazy. Are they cemented to the ground or something?

It's actually a condo complex (formerly apartments) in a fairly nice area. I can't help but wonder what they're gonna do when the old GE (sitting atop the old dead Lennox) finally dies. House of condenser units - how many stories high can you go?

I've seen the same thing around here at apartment complexes. You would think that they would remove a condenser, but they just stick the new one wherever there is room.

If that was in south Texas some one would have jacked that old condenser with a quickness!

It's like when I was younger with console tv's, if that big sucker broke it was a great table for a portable tv.

Nice analogy...unfortunately I can picture it clearly - after a minor adjustment to the ol' rabbit ears.

Maybe it's so there are plenty of spare "free" parts to rob out of units right next to the one you're working on.

The reason for stacking the condensors is so us short guys can reach those disconnects without dragging out a ladder.

That's insane, why would anyone even do that. It's a good target for thieves though. Two for one!

I have to assume, given the age of all the old Lennox units serving as equipment pads; that copper just wasn't quite the commodity it is today.

    But even so...just plain hoosierish.

Man that complex looks familiar. Is that the one off Union road neat Reavis? I used to service that one like 20 or so years ago when most the old lennox units were still stacked one on top of another.

It's in Creve Coeur off Lindberg...but I imagine all these types of complexes start to look the same after a while. At least when most of your time is spent looking at a basement row of furnaces or outside disconnects and condenser units.

Back to the same complex today

    Double equipment equipment pads...

One of our down to earth units on the corner.
