    You would be right! Ive done it on a jobsite so I can get back to work. I guess black pipe is sharp where this guy comes from.

    Allright everybody call this guy at the same time Like I just did he's trying to locate a Trane 90 percent furnace that he will instal for 900 bucks as long as I pay for the materials, I didn't mention the commute or anbything about gas money to New Orleans however.

    update, he said he could install a 18 seer unit if I met him at the supply house and paid for the parts. Didn't here back when i asked for license.

    There will always be hacks and bottom-feeders... and IMO there will always be customers whose mind can only see price... they deserve each other.

    Each of us has to develop our market and professional image, to attract folks who are looking for better.

    A week or so ago, I went on a sales call; after talking to the HO for a bit I realized they were an 'price only' shopper. Asked them a few questions about when and budget... they hedged. I bowed out.

    Why waste one's time on cheapskates when there are lots of good customers out there.

    This is rude... well maybe it is not:

    When he gets done and presents the bill for installation... tell him you will mail the check when the inspector signs off, and BTW, can I have your license #...
    Watch his face...

    I hope the guy gets his license... or gets caught. He will hurt someone soon... besides hurting the industry and our wallets.
