There is no statistic on what % of food stamp recipients are scammers. But, here's the thing. If you are on food stamps and you haven't worked in a while, you are either in the lower middle class or poor class in America. Sure there might be a handful of scammers driving around new Cadillacs, but the vast majority are no longer middle class. In order to be middle class you have to have a decent job and work it consistently. There are a lot of young people living with parents or other type living arrangements now. One of the main problems is that the elites shipped all our middle class jobs to China & Mexico. Anyone would be far better off to be working their middle class job (even if they only made 25K/year) than to be on food stamps and any other government type assistance.

I see a lot of older folks on $800/month social security that come to the church food ministry every week. And they don't get the good stuff. The good stuff goes out the back to the workers at the ministry.

Example from working on the truck and moving pallets for 5 hours one day:

Oh yea, there are definitely some scammers out there, but I'll bet most have an honest need. If you're well off, why bother going thorugh the humility of getting food stamps? Would you say that the unemployment situation for the past 5 years has had no effect on people getting food stamps?

So you know people who scam, do you know any people that are on the low end of the scale that need help?

This subject is so broad and wide. Frankly, im doing fine at the moment and have done so for as long as I can remember. If ever I need a fall back, thank god it is their. So call me a commie, nothing is perfect and pure free trade could prove equally as cruel. The fact we are not happy is unchanging and a necessity.

The issue is more of a 'personal problem' we have in the USA. It is a complicated, three part problem:

1 Obamapolicy has attacked the poor and middle-class, a full scale heartless assault, raped them and made them poorer. They have valid needs, and more now. Smoke tax, ruined the used car market, anything to hurt the poor and middle-class folks. Anything to raise money to finance large corporate loans and wild failed obamaenergy projects.

2 Obamapolicy has wrecked our economy in general. I understand the 'trickle-down' theory is debatable, should not be,... where are the jobs? Some of us manage to 'slip under the wire' but the rest of the folks are screwed. Gas prices, wages, food prices, the evidence is apparent.

3 We have much corruption/cheating/unfairness. People are scamming the system for benefits. Freebies.
