It looks BIG.... How much does it weigh?
When hooking the 552 to a system for evacuation with no manifold, are you using a short hose to come off the vcr or a brass fitting that hooks directly to the vcr?
I was just thinking about the weight of the instrument.
Thanks

It looks BIG.... How much does it weigh?
Let me go download the spec sheet and see
It's probably 6 inches tall and 4 inches wide. Lightweight. Nice big display.
I use a tee on pump.....with 3/8 hoses to each CRT. I then hook up a short hose to my CRT and connect to 552.
I compared to the Bluvac yesterday. The Bluvac is def. more sensitive. But in the end they were within 75 microns of each other. The 552 was very steady.
I now see in the description that they recommend brass.
I have been hearing that the Bluvac is more sensative but which one is more accurate? I thought I read somewhere that the Testo uses an absolute pressure sensor. This sounds like it would be more accurate but I don't know if that is the case or skimpily a buzz word. Does the testo have a leak rate indicator like the Bluvac ( this was a very big selling feature to me ). I know the Bluvac can be recalibrated by putting in a freezer but I assume the Testo will not need calibration with the absolute pressure sensor?
I will not buy the testo simply because I already have the both the Bluvac and Bluvac LTE ( both in UEI yellow )
It's a tree.
But the tree has a tee.
Just curious...why not just a tee off the vacuum pump?
I have two 3/8 and one 1/4 hose connections (one 3/8 has a reducer taking it down to 3/8) on my pump.
Had a tree but it got bumped and bent. Was afraid it would leak. I got rid of the tree and went to the low profile three-way intake.
you?
