Apartment complex + hacks + running out of money

For some reason, maybe they let it go to foreclosure and were trying to recover some money before the bank got it, an apartment complex had dozens of new heat pumps installed, then removed them and sold them to a liquidator without ever opening the valves to let the 410a out.

Here's some photos from the liquidator. How much you want to bet they were installed with the same care they were uninstalled with?

The first one is advertised as dents in housing, but coil is perfect. Well, maybe.
Second one says minor dents, but cosmetically very good overall. (but what about that smashed coil?)

You're thinking it wasn't the apartment owner who sold all of them to the eBay seller?

The liquidator that's reselling them on eBay even gives serial numbers:

Useless...damaged the suction connections...need new service ports.
