Chávez makes a monkey of Bush

In the lexicon of political insults it will take some beating. Already known for his somewhat colourful use of language Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez has probably written himself into the history books for a new sidewipe at his US counterpart George Bush.
In the latest salvo in the war of words between the two countries Mr Chávez described Mr Bush as "evil," a "criminal" but then added that he was "more dangerous than a monkey with a razor blade".

The comment came during a news conference in Caracas in which Mr Chávez responded to accusations made earlier this week by Mr Bush that he was "undermining ... democratic institutions" by the recent passage of a controversial enabling law to allow for government by decree.
Referring to the war in Iraq, Mr Chávez said that both Mr Bush and John Negroponte, the US director of national intelligence, should be tried for "war crimes ... the two of them are criminals. They should be tried and thrown in prison for the rest of their days." He added: "I pray to God for the people of the United States. I hope they're capable of liberating themselves from the tyranny they have. Who would be the greater fascist - Hitler or Bush? They might end up in a draw."
Insults have been fired between US politicians and Venezuela for some months now. Nancy Pelosi, the new speaker of the house and a Democrat, said of Mr Chávez's earlier remarks at the UN that "he fancies himself as a modern day Simón Bolívar, but all he is an everyday thug."

Politicians have swapped insults for generations. In Britain, the former Liberal MP Clement Freud once described Margaret Thatcher as "Attila the Hen". Former French president François Mitterrand said: "She has the mouth of Marilyn Monroe and the eyes of Caligula."

it's impossible for Chavez to do anything better then Bush because he is from an inferior country with an inferior form of government.

Communist/Marxist/totalitarian/dictatorship ,the largest murdering form of government in recorded history, or "Democrats" as we call them here in America.

Chavez is grabbing power by making his idiot population think they are in a battle agsint the USA, it's all going to end with guns to THEIR heads,

am i suppose to feel sorry for them when it does?

Nope, just keep buying their gasoline, and they'll never have to worry about the guns to their heads.

Running our country like a monkey F'ing a football. Outside of Tony Blair, who actually respects Bush??? Classic remark from Chavez, shameful because I don't like the thought of our country being considered such a joke.
If everything was always done "by the book"....the book would never change.

I dont think foreigners think our country is a joke. I think its all directed at the chimp. But it will be nice in 2 years when we get someone in office that we and the world can respect.

If Chavez is a Dictator, he's my favorite.

Chavez is a socialist and I can hardly wait to see a pathetic nation get even worse due to their nationalizing of industry. Though this will not change the mind of socialist about the flaws in socialism, they will find an excuse and point to that.

Do you mean somebody like Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton? What a joke. I was never more embarrassed in my life when they were in charge. So you love Chavez. What other communists do you like? You scratch a liberal and you find an admirer of communists or a communist themselves. The truth finally comes out.
"I could have ended the war in a month. I could have made North Vietnam look like a mud puddle."
"I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution."

Actually I like his sense of humor. Every President is going to have his naysayers but no President is more disrespected(for good reason) than a chimp (with a razor blade). Thats classic.
