    Southbend EZ-5 steamer

I have a customers steamer in my shop in which I diagnosed a faulty controller p/n 1181038.
The part seems to be a solid state relay. Does anyone have info on the operation of this controller?
Can the controller be substituded with a relay(s)?
Knowing It's functionality, would help in determining what approach I can take!
    Very expensive part here!
    TIA
