    Refrigerant Receiver Sizing Info?

I have a Copeland Condensing Unit the nameplate info is gone. There is a number on the receiver LR 38666 is that possibly 38 lbs? It has a stamp on it Shelby Manufacturing on it. Any info please.

You should get a value for volume of the receiver, and then use density to convert. If you get the measurements, you can go to standard:

That should get you started. Or are you talking about using the receiver size to ID system size?

    Or Try This......

    DuPont Refrigerant Piping Handbook

Go to Sect.1 Page 12 for a chart of common receiver sizes and capacities.

I really don't have a good system for organizing this stuff at all.....other than using browser bookmarks and lots of Googling.
