    Transformer amp rating

I need to install a transformer to power a Enclosure A/C unit. The unit is rated at 9.0 FLA. I have a transformer that is 1 phase, 460 V Primary, 120 V Secondary and 2 KVA. I think this would equal 16.6 amps, am I correct with my figures?

So your looking for transformer VA? Multiply secondary side volts by amps, that will give you required transformer VA.

You are correct, a 2 KVA transformer with a 120V secondary will supply 16.6A to the load.
