I've been intentionally killing off my yard for half a year now in preparation to switch from water hungry St. Augustine grass, to something less water hungry.
This weekend I finally removed the old dead grass, and all of the the bushes in my front yard.
If I can figure out how to manage a 10'wx6'dx3'h compost pile, I'll have some awesome compost for the vegetable garden I'm going to get going in the back yard next year.
For reference, this is what it looked like 6 years ago when I bought it.
In hind sight, I wish I had hired a truckload of Mexicans to do the work.
