Parents-Control your kids
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070123/D8MR4NTO1.html
Parents are mad at the airline because they couldn't control their kid and were removed from a flight. I'm sure it was embarassing (or should have been) to the parents but it's hardly the airline's fault. The airline refunded their money, flew them the next day on another flight and offered 3 free tickets to anywhere the airline flies.
I think the airline went above and beyond their duty here. The plane couldn't leave because the kid was climbing under the seat and hitting the parents and wouldn't get in her seat during boarding. As a parent, my child would have been prepared before boarding about what was going to happen and then if they threw a fit and wouldn't calm down, time to show kid who's boss (and it ain't the kid!).

My children behave in public because they are disciplined at home.Merry Christmas

Yeah, and now the parents want to sue the airline, they say it was too little too late
I know I wouldn't want to be on a flight with some little brat that can't be controlled, screaming like crazy. I had seen the couple on the news yesterday and the kid was uncontrollable during the entire interview...unbelievable.

If the parents are incapable of parenting, they should never have been allowed to breed. The kid in the interview mentioned above is proof that this was not just a one time deal but that the parents are incompetant.

Sounds like a classic case of L.T.B.S.
I used to have that too, but my dad cured me of it."If I had my life to live over again, I'd be a KA." - Albert Einstein

Raising children?
After having spent 40 years in and around the roller skating business, I believe I am qualified to suggest to you that the reverse of your statement is more accurate: Because they are disciplined at home, your children behave in public.
Keep up the good work. You are not raising children; you are raising ADULTS!

when my daughter was younger she was compimented several times by other passengers and crew on how well she behaved on a plane ride.
trans air should publicly rescind their free tickets and tell family to f -off.
would make me more inclined to fly with them.

01-24-2007, 03:16 PM #8Already delayed for 15 minutes for her, and she wants to burn more of the other 112 passengers time so she can "console" her rugrat?"We weren't given an opportunity to hold her, console her or anything,"
Lets not forget that it throws off the arrival/departure schedule for other flights, so even more people are affected.
I wonder how much money per minute the airplane and its crew costs sitting there while she "consoles" her punk kid?If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

This is what I've always said, despite objection from liberal parents.
When your kid gets out of line, DO NOT hesitate to "reach out and touch them".
No, that DOES NOT mean beat the hell outta them, it simply means that a well placed smack on the ass will go a LONG way.
My son (pacalf) can testify to that. He turned out very nicely BTW.

We had 3 kids that were 15 months in age apart. They would go wild in public at times. This was when a swat on the ass got their attention so that they understood it was time to behave.
If you swat a kid on the ass in public today don't they execute you with lethal injection without trial or DNA testing.?
