    You know I keep looking at this situation you have here and the only weird thing I see is your approach. That would be good for a flooded evaporator but we have a DX evaporator.

    Could your BPHE be fouled with excess oil?
    I don't deal with PG too much but you have the flow could the mixture be too high like chilbrig eluded to?

    I don't believe so....

    I currently have propy glycol at 35%

    My earliest of posts stated dowtherm and it read high ,as in 40+%, but i was assured by the plant engineer that all they use is dowdrost.


    Monday ,when another tech was there ,we discussed everything that had been checked and the valves never got below 40% with the pretty much same conditions and load ....

    i was 20 degrees warmer outside ...

    What would YOU expect the approach to be ? Not a trick question , just curious..

    I assume your saying you would expect the approach to be 2-4 not 7-9 ?

    update... Chiller is fixed....main base board issue .... Replaces main base board everything is ok....carrier engineer admitted to some flaky boards being out there
