Pope Francis while an Argentinian is also an Italian Pope

Just thought I would pass this on in ARP. Heard it briefly mentioned on Fox News that his parents were Italians born in Italy. He can also speak good Italian which was what he was speaking when he addressed the throng in the square. So while he may have been born in Argentina he is an Italian also so to speak. I won't comment any further and let others say what they want. Thank you, thank you very much

As long as he is able to tell folks to get off the grass with his hands all should be well.
To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right.

Maybe you should watch it from time to time just to get an understanding of the other side of the issues...Lord knows it isn't being told to you from the 'unfair and unbalanced' conservative entertainment news shows. It is part of the reason I come here or listen to Limbaugh & Hannity, which are almost one in the same.

I have to ask, where so you go to get your left biased news to balance out the right biased news?

Well Brian Fox does a good job of rebroadcasting far out leftest rhetoric from the the far left Obama worshiping main media. I haven't seen any "right biased news" at least on TV stations. So I can only view them on printed media or the internet if I so desire. Thank you, thank you very much

Fox News, MSNBC, and to a lesser degree CNN, should be ashamed of what they are doing to this country. Too bad so few can see it.

To get back to the original post.....
Most Popes are fluent in several languages (Latine is a requirement).
John Paul, I believe was fluent in 6 languages.

My FIL was taught Latine in grade school (in the U.S.).
Because of this he later became an interpreter in the Army.
It is a shame this is not considered in today's education system.

I think we're on totally opposite spectrums Brian, but agree 100%

Maybe it has something to do with Western Civilization, culture and heritage being in decline and under attack. Why would you want the largest Christian religion to go under control of the 3rd world.

Not being a RC I still care about Western values which are under attack on all fronts by Islam, Marxism, secularism, etc. Thank you, thank you very much

I apologize for the thread drift but I don't think I am very far to the left, as I have been pegged here. It is the media that has pigeonholed those of differing opinions and created the polarized mess we find ourselves in now.

The right and left citizenry are not benefitting at all from our current media. We are just getting placated with the name calling while those who really run things steal our country from beneath us.

Glenn, you can't tell what's happening in the fish tank when you are swimming inside it.

    Because I don't care.
The man was voted in, by their own clergy. If you're not Roman Catholic, then it's none of your business either.
For a guy who whines so much about his own freedom being under attack, you're quick to attack others.
