See. Now if I ever inquired about this I might of liked them better.

I have 4 of the pipe strap thermistors and bought the replacement straps a couple years ago. I've only replaced one in prob 5 years or so of owning them. That may be because I have 4 to split up the wear and tear but they seem to hold up pretty well.

I've got 2 but one strap is dried out and not very "stretchy". I don't currently use them anyway but never know if I will. I'm going to look into the straps

I use the DRSA-1250 for R-22 systems, so it gets the most use, by far.
I don't have a manifold with analogue gauges on it anymore, so I use my BTD-1000 for refrigerant recovery and nasty systems.
Testo 550 for R-410a systems, but I will likely retire it to backup duty and start using the SMAN3.
My 1st gen 523 is dedicated to PVE oil systems, VRV and mini splits, mostly because it has a really great pressure test mode.
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

The distributors rep who donated the SMAN3 to the RSES raffle I won is also a member of my RSES chapter, and a fellow RSES regional officer, so it would probably be a little uncouth of me to trash them out.

Besides, the BTD-1000 seems to LIKE IT!
It's outlived the 3 or 4 manifolds its been mounted on.

How ya doing Doug? Have not talked to you in a while...

The 1200/1250 is still going strong... I did rewire the clamps though... used stereo cables (coax)... Helper says it is right and left channel... LOL. Works fine!

May get a 900 from you later this year... good to have a digital backup. It has been sooo long since I used an analogue gauge... I may not remember how to set SH/SC... <grin>

I know the feeling, the only analogue refrigerant gauge I've had on my truck for a few years now is the compound gauge mounted on top of my vacuum tree.
