Chimney Starters
I found out the Brown Packing paper works a lot better starting the charcoal than newspaper. I get plenty of it out of part boxes.

Thanks, newspaper is a bit messy.
If you can't fix it with JB Weld, Duct Tape, and Ty Wire it has to be replaced.
No good deed goes unpunished.
If you want to take off friday to go fishing then make sure you train your helper right.

I have found that many small chunks of charcoal tend to smother air inside the chimney. My bright idea works good: Take a toilet paper cardboard roll and hold it inside whilst you pile the charcoal around it. Don't need it for large chunks. We use wax starter cubes.

The charcoal bag works fine too.

Does anyone know where to get a chimney that will last more than 10 uses?

I've gotten a couple of years out of my Weber Brand, and it gets a lot of use. Probably going to have to replace the bottom grid next year.

thanks, I don't think I ever had a weber. I go through 4 or 5 a year. I would rather pay for a good one that lasts than waste 15 bucks every couple of months.

weber is the longest lasting and best quality I have used
