Reversing Motor with Drum Switch
Marathon-5KC49PN0253-wiring.pdfFella brought me this said it goes to his mechanical bull and asked me to help him wire it up.
I'm normally real good with schematics and wiring but i have to admit this is not the type of drawing I am used to
seeing. Hopefully you guys can help me put it together.
he's got a marathon 5kc49pn0253a http://www.temcoindustrialpower.com/...nt/M21591.html
here's the schematic, we're wiring it for highvoltage 240 1ph
http://attachments.temcoindustrialpo...253-wiring.pdf
and he's got a drum reversing switch kinda like this AB
http://www.maraindustrial.com/cart/s...ew-no-box.html
its just that the way cw and ccw on the motor diagram is drawn I'm not sure what it's telling me.
see if you guys can help me complete this simple drawing.

I went and asked the oldboy that teaches the motor controls class and here is the solution he came up with for those of you who want to see it.
this is assuming the drum switch connects in the way shown, some switches might connect different terminals when switched.
he said basicly what you do is reverse the polarity to the start winding to reverse the direction on a single phase.
this is for the high voltage 240v 1ph
