Tommyknocker and I were just talking about that today. I call them jitter lights. I have a newer terralux 180 and he has a newer minimag. Both of them same crap! I actually stopped on a pitch black factory roof one night, tired from beating the terralux. I emailed them right then and there and they have been helpful. They told me to send it in but I told them what is the point all of the new ones do it. They sent some parts for free for me to try but it always ends in jitter light. I think I will send it in. I am very impressed with the construction of it. If people had any idea how hard I have hit that light on things they would not believe it works. Strange thing is both of our hard hat lights have no problem. My rayovac hard hat light is tough and jitter free in the worst of environments. If the terra jitter and mini jitter mag could just work. I love led lights... Pisses me off

Of all the LED lights I have bought over the years, my supco 6 in 1 flashlight is the only one that hasn't needed a beating to turn on.

I had this problem with two that I had....I fixed it somehow then it got lost in the bottom of a deep scuzzy sump pit and I never bothered to retrieve it. Then I got another one and lost it too. (both were LED) Think I'm just not supposed to have mag lites (lost every one of them, multiple times)

Now I just use one of these: http://www.uwkinetics.com/products/u...h#.US14J-test0

Those will survive just about anything. Had a Xenon one for a few years, then it burnt out and someone gifted me the above one, haven't changed the batteries since I got it a year ago, still very bright.

I do have an old mag light I found faded and barried in mud around a roof drain. Tossed in batteries for a laugh and to my surprise it worked. It's my backup, those things are tough! Yet a brand new led one you have to shake SMH

Had a sure fire in Iraq attached to an M4. Fantastic little light. Wish I had it back, left for the next guy. Pricey but worth it. May look into that.

I've carried a SureFire for about 14 years.

Cannot complain a bit about the light.
