He did run for office in Maryland and was soundly defeated. It was because Maryland is the land of the liberals. Here in maryland we are forced to follow the leadership of Baltimore and a few wealthy liberal counties where most of the votes come from. He was welcomed on the Eastern Shore and in Western Maryland where there are still some real men left.
