Could this this horizontal drip be causing airflow issues

Hello everyone, I have a upflow airhandler in my home and yesterday when I opened it I notice the drip pan designed for a horizontal application is still in there (obiously it's not used) should I be concerned and does it affect air flow? I am wondering if it is normal to see this. Will removing that pan improve air flow?, thanks for looking

Does Not effect airflow, why remove and chance making a leak on coil. leave it there; can't hurt anything.
