I like both except I only use a b tank on big installs with lots of brazing. I carry a turbo torch hooked to an MC bottle and a oxy-acet torch. Small repair on a good day just grab the MC and turbo less weight and cheaper. It really depends on what your doing but if just starting out for a first torch for most repairs oxy-acet would be the one to get.

More control with the Oxy/Acetylene. Make sure to get a rosebud for large pipes that require a lot of heat.

I use B-tank for everything. Just my preference.

I have the same setup, and I'm very happy with it. I use the #2 tip for almost everything 1/4" thru 7/8".

Agree... mostly #2 tip. Change to a rosebud if I need to do some serious heating. Also have a circular (forgot the name) tip for RV valves... although I have not changed an RV in years. Usually condemn the unit... customer is happy to get a new system with a 10 year warranty...

Oxy/Act, from day one in the buisness. I did also carry a map gas turbo torch for a back a up. The thing with the little M/C kits, is you can weld, cut, and solder or braze on anything, for a limited time.
