Only use oxy acytylene torches you can better pinpoint the heat and b tanks destroy service valves and TXV's the only thing i will use a b tank on is large copper when using actual plumbing solder and flux for boiler water piping

I have used both and really both are good however I preferred the Oxy/ Acet because it has more temp control. I use #0 and #2 tips the most often.

I used the Oxy/Acet rig for 5 years. Now I run a "B" tank. My goal is to find the most cost effective route for my installers. This case study is still underway:

No one uses push button handheld mapp gass torch? Use it when I can. Almost fits in your pocket. Hassle carrying hoses and tanks

Smith Quick Braze!
I am absolutely in love with this outfit!!
Hate b tanks. Last place I worked only used turbo torches. I think it was because no one knew how to set-up the oxy/ace rigs. They also went through a lot of TXV's lolMember of the "Work Exchange Program"

I refuse to use anything but OxyAcetylene for brazing or even silver solder. Ill use a MAP gas tank to heat things every now and again but never to weld.
