I find the reader comments below these stories even more entertaining than the opinion pieces themselves. But I also find them, the comments, sad because these are my fellow mericans making the comments .... showing the world their ignorance and hate.

The hate expressed is truly astounding, you would think he killed a bunch of our young men chasing non existent WMD or something. When did the individual food stamp card get an unlimited line of credit? I always thought there was a set amount allocated to each recipient. Given that, I guess they could freely choose to spend their food budget unwisely - freedom, liberty, etc. The premise that the executive branch of the US government is a welfare cheat seems to come from the "scary b***k man" line of thinking, I really thought we as a nation left that behind some time ago, I guess not.

Another option would be to sell your food stamps for crack, which seems to be very popular these days. Don't worry about the baby just blow the crack smoke in her face it will save off the hunger.

Funny thing salty yes things have changed since the 60's in case you haven't noticed. It's the White man not only is sitting in the back of the bus now but paying all the bills and getting demonized for working and saving money instead of blowing it on drugs and women like the voters for Obama do.

The alien anti American Marxist sitting in the WH now has living off the government since he was born and never had a "working job" in his entire life and he is now "working" 24/7 to destroy our country and convert it into a socialist bankrupt state similar to Greece with a Marxist dictatorship led by radicals and minorities. I think that sums it all up IMHO. Thank you, thank you very much

"I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution."

While not Crack, it does not take to much of the stretch of the imagination to think that some might give away their cards for Crack.

Sorry for using such a right wing rag like the NYP.

The key word here is "some" it would appear that type of spending could be controlled with some reasonable restrictions. I don't get any money from EBT cards, welfare or other assistance but the phrase used was "Obama Voters".

I still want to know where I get my free hookers and blow.

Not sure....maybe you should talk to some welfare mother/ lovin Obama voters. Bwahahahah!

I think any reasonable person could agree that not all EBT's/ welfare recipients are using the system fraudulently, and that same individual should also be able recognize there is plenty of abuse, abuse that needs to addressed and eliminated as best as can be.
