Bet the JB out lasts the Appion...and with a JB you won't get a citation for "Disturbing the Peace" during pump down.

The Appion vacuum pump is a different animal than what we are used to... and it is expensive. However I have never seen a workhorse like this... and it weighs only 29#. (Do not ask the price...
With a little care, I doubt I will ever buy another pump.
And yes... change your oil often...
I have all Appion hoses and CRT, but that pump I will not buy. It sounds like 500PSIG air escaping thru a small 1/4" leak in an air-line.

I have an old robinair... first pump...still works. After going through TWO YJ pumps... decided to go a different route.
Not sure about outlasting... time will tell... However I can say without a doubt the Appion SUCKS better than the old robinair.
I use the Appion CRT tools also... however have not bought any Appion hoses yet... are they worth the $$$?GA-HVAC-Tech

Guess I can't join the debate. Bought new 10CFM JB in December. 3rd pump since 1972. Second JB needs the coulping tightened and will be as good as new.

I'm hung like a light switch and my pump was FREE. I find it funny that you guys say JB is a great product. It has been in the supply houses in my area for just like 2 years. They took over the YJ stuff cause The guys said JB reps killed it over the YJ guys. They had the big platnium pumps with eagles and American flag airbrushed on it looked awesome but not for me.
