How to read this mixing valve?
My hot water heater has a SparcoMix AM mixing valve. There is a table that shows for water of various input temperatures what the output temperature of the water will be for each valve setting. My problem is that the turning valve itself has TWO numbers on it. How do I read it? Turning the valve counterclockwise will increase the output temp. I have it turned all the way counterclockwise and the output of my water heater is set at 130 deg F. According to the chart I have for that mixing valve the output should be 127 deg F but it is less than 120 deg F.
Another question. Why do I need a mixing valve for this application? I've always adjusted the water temp by the thermostat on the water heater itself.

Man, I thought someone would have been able to answer this by now. Can you get the manufacturers name off of it? Get the model of the equipment it is connected to. Maybe will be able to pull it up on google.
An answer without a question is meaningless.
Information without understanding is useless.

Hey JP! Did any of the non pro's who you've deleted their postings have the answer to the OP's question? If so, how about sharing it with us.

First, I caught myself in an error.
I wrongly edited the OP's post, and for that I apologize. I've since fixed it.
No answer, though.

Take a picture from the garage door facing the valve. I wanna see what it's hooked up to.
"Better tell the sandman to stay away, because we're gonna be workin on this one all night."
"Dude, you need more than 2 wires to a condenser to run a 2 stage heatpump."
"Just get it done son."
