This is a commercial unit??
I am working on a Payne m/n 584apw048080aa?g. I had an ignition problem with the orignal ignition module g770ngc-7. I installed a white rodgers module 50d50-843. followed the wiring diagram, added a burner ground, installed the green C chip. the ignitor sparks, lites pilot, main gas starts and shuts off pilot, no flame, main shuts off and restarts cycle. i have had this same problem with a Carrier furnace, tried a Robertshaw mod then a White Rodgers and both acted the same. is there something i am missing? is there a trick that is not in the paperwork?
This is a commercial unit??

pilot should remain energized in the sequence. You attempt checking/setting pressures?

no. it has a flame sensor.
This reminds me of the 50's TV show "what's my line?"
Look at how good this famous star looked in those days....

Try removing that wire feeding the main valve portion of the gas valve, and see what happens. Maybe the valve is going bad and when power is fed to the main valve solenoid in the gas valve it's causing a strain on the board causing it to restart the ignition sequence.
