There's been a lot of talk about the negative impact sealants can have on equipment if the refrigerant is contaminated with moisture.
Presumably small factory charged/sealed systems such as window a/cs, fridges, dehumidifiers, etc are properly evacuated...
So my question is: Why don't manufacturers add sealant factory charge to prevent leaks which always cost more to repair than the equipment is worth? Planned obsolescence?
With proper evacuation, products such as super-seal shouldn't do any damage, correct?
