I have a Honeywell Prestige IAQ 2.0 with C7189R1004 wireless indoor sensors.
I've been using a calibrated digital thermometer to help me fine tune my thermostat set point, but now I have read that some thermostats sense both ambient and radiant heat, and because of that a thermostat may not agree with a thermometer that only senses ambient. I've noticed that they don't always agree, which would be explained by the ambient/radiant sensor thing.
I understand that the Prestige IAQ 2.0 does uses both ambient and radiant sensors, but what about the Honeywell C7189R1004 wireless sensor, does that also use both?
Is the radiant sensor picking up radiant heat from the walls, ceiling and floor? BTW, I don't have radiant floor heat, so that's not related to my question.
I'm also interested in reading how radiant sensors affect thermostat readings, if anyone knows of literature on that.
