Am I wrong or is the upside down trap entering the pump higher than the rest of the piping?

there you go, that's why the pump doesn't make a mess.
It`s better to be silent and thought the fool; than speak and remove all doubt.

That's the most expensive condensate drain I've ever seen.
I do three kinds of work.
1 - Good - 2 - Fast - 3 - Cheap
