    Pump or valve zoning on boilers

    I used to always use grundfos 3 speed pumps to zone on high efficient boilers. At the AHR show the rep from Rinnai told me that by using pumps the gpm is to large and inefficient. He said the system pump is plenty and to only use zone valves...Any thoughts or recommendations?

    one pump less cost, one pump fails not heat...i think the cost out weighs the failure

    Not a big difference in cost between circs and zone valves. Using circs, its easier to get the proper GPM for your zones.
