Check Heatcraft's documents on their site, they have a manual under discontinued unit coolers.

I am working on an old McQuay Freezer Evaporator Coil. It is model: ELC-105-CM33, circa 1986.
Some previous service person removed the Defrost Termination/Fan Delay control from the coil. The Evaporator goes into defrost and stays as determined by the Defrost Timer, and the fan come on immediately coming out of defrost.
The Electrical Junction Box is on the LH side of the coil (return bend end). I "assume" the DT/FD control is mounted in that area. The DT/FD control, is the "flat flange type" . The question is.......where was the control originally mounted.

I did go to Heatcraft and found an old Installation Manual. I downloaded it to my PC. But it does NOT say where the DT/FD is located. I called Heatcraft Tech Support and the guy I talked to said they (heatcraft) inherited the McQuay units and don't know that much about them - no help.
You should be alright screwing it to the aluminum sheet metal somewhere near where the return bends pass through it. If there was one there before, I would think you should be able to find a couple of mounting holes somewhere. Or you could get a control that clips onto one of the return bends. Or, you might be able to rig up a delay-on-make timer to keep the fans from starting right away.
