How to get foot in door using my RMO license??

Just got my NYC RMO license and would love to get into a union, like local 94 or 30. It seems like its difficult to get any kind of job with this refrigeration license. I have 3 years exp , but only on residential and light commercial refrigeration. Any suggestions? Trying to get an indoor job so i can stop doing residential calls and use my new license. Thanks in advance.

Residential refrigeration? You mean you worked for an appliance company? Why don't you try working for a company that does residential ac and light commercial ac AND comm. refrigeration then you can build your resume and strike out for a better job from there.
