That's pretty ghetto... ive done some stuff to get people by but never thought of going that route. Last summer it was a saturday and 100+ degrees out and one of the large church's we take care of called. I went out to find a 100 ton cooling tower fan with brackets, blades and motor all torn up and laying in the bottom of the unit. Of course they were having a large wedding in 2 hours so after emptying a large commercial ice maker into the water which allowed it to run for about 20 minutes i went to sams club and bought a large belt drive shop fan, mounted it on top and they ran it like that for the rest of the summer then had the tower changed out in the fall. I didn't think it would move enough air but the Chiller didn't get close to going off on head even when it was 100* out and running full capacity.

pretty sure it's a Rheem-onnox or Lenneem.
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and stamps EVER.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals". Their stated reason for this policy "... the animals become dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

Didn't Gibson/Nordyne use that kind of "hail" guard?
-
It looks like a York/Coleman builder model with hail guard to me.
