Trane Clean Effects Air Cleaner Ozone
Does anybody know how much ozone may be emitted by a Trane clean effects model TFD210CLFR? Thanks

I am a Trane dealer and just ran into this for the first time. We have 2 C/E on a system and homwowner is complaining of ozone odor. We are going to run the fan all the time - variable speed - to help the odor. Our FSR also said we can turn down the "level" of the filter from HIGH to MED or LOW. He has not given me that procedure yet.

Lower settings will reduce the slight sound emitted by the
unit with minimal loss of air cleaning efficiency, if desired.
Lower settings will also further reduce the very low ozone
produced by the Air Cleaner. The U.S. Food and Drug
Administration recommends indoor ozone concentrations
should not exceed 50 parts per billion. The Air Cleaner will
contribute only 5 parts per billion at the factory setting and
can be reduced to .3 parts per billion at the minimum
setting.
