Rheem/RUUD RRRL-C-024: How many BTUs on 2Ton
So one of the recommended replacement units for the upstairs of my house was a Rheem/RUUD RRRL-C-024. Does anyone know how many BTUs this machine has?
My current machine has 70BTU. Is this machine too small/not strong enough? -Olga

70k is probably your furnace size. A AC or Heat pump unit is measured in Tons of capacity. You can't get a Residential 70kBTU unit. Largest made is 60k BTU other than Geothermal units. 2 tons of cooling is 24k BTU's of heat removal.
Are they also replacing your furnace?

My understanding is that the quote is to replace my gas/elec package roof-top usit that heats and cools the second floor of my house. I am told that my old dead Goodman is 70-75btu (I have been told two things now) but my main concern is that the RUUD I was leaning towards is too small. Do you know the units for that machine? -O.

The 2 ton can be had with 40K, 60K or 80K heat.
