If Chicago allowed open or concealed carry of firearms the level of violence would instantly drop by a large percentage. Since liberals are all for social experiments why dont they give it a try? It would in my opinion work instantly to reduce gun violence as well as violence in general. Nobody sane messes with an armed man or woman.

The saying goes: 95% or the shootings are in 5% of the neighborhoods. They are mostly in gang and drug infested neighborhoods on the south and west sides. The police have their hands tied and the laws are designed to protect the criminals. The city has a fund the police dept has coined the "Ghetto Lotto" where all a perp has to do is claim racism or harassment. The city will give them a grand or two in hush money to walk away. What a great way to supplement your drug dealing income. Rahm doesn't give a rats ass if they all kill each other as long as it doesn't infringe on the citys income. Here's one for you. How much the city cares about their first responders. Chicago no longer owns it's parking enforcement. Daley made a shady deal to sell the parking enforcement that went thru the financial institution his brother Bill was in charge of at the time. Anyway, City employees are required to pay their parking tickets or they lose their jobs. Guess which neighborhoods have more tickets written in them. Ain't the south and west sides. It's the handful of neighborhoods the police and firemen live.

Couldn't agree with you more.
Gang violence has been a problem since the early 90's. All of a sudden the politicians want to do something about all the gun violence? Here's how we fix it....we train the bangers how to shoot so they hit and kill each other rather than innocent bystanders.
