RTD's and Thermistor's.
RTD's Balco, Nickel, Platinum
Thermistor,s w/11k shunt
Anyone know what type of temp sensor (1K RTD, 10K-2 Thermistor etc.) the Barber Coleman Network 8000 system typiclly uses?
Thanks
Nikko
RTD's and Thermistor's.
RTD's Balco, Nickel, Platinum
Thermistor,s w/11k shunt
LCM / GCS will take the following sensors
TS 8000 BALCO
TS 5900 Copper
TS 5700 Thermistor (10K )
TS 5700 Thermistor ( 30K )
TS 5800 Platinum
Slide Wire Potentiometer 50 10,000 OHMs
For current
4 - 20 MA 250 OHM resistor required
For Voltage
0 12 volt DC
Limitations on distance sensor can be located from panel ranges from 350 to 1000 Feet
For MICROZONE IIs
Basically the same with the addition of the TS 9000 series sensors for PSI interface
Most use the TS 8000 sensors as they are lower in $ and are very rugged / reliable
Thanks for the replies. Looking at pulling a couple of older NW 8000 systems and replacing them with stand alone (for now) JCI FX gear. Was curious if there was a chance for re-using the temp sensors. I'll budget new ones.
Thanks again
Nikko
Just make your own conversion tables, those sensors should work fine.
The sensor's have a different reference point
TS 5900 & 8000 is 1000 Ohms at 70'F
TS 5700 is 10,000 Ohms at 77'F for 10K and 77'F for the 30K as well
TS 5800 Platinum is 1000 Ohms at 32'F
Anyone know of a company replacing the TS9000 series? I have sensors that are dying Model number TS90130?
Thanks
Are you perhaps talking about the TS-90230 sensor? If you are, you can order an ACI sensor, ACI/10K-AN-RO, and add an 11K ohm, 1/4 watt resistor across the sensor terminals. This sensor also has a push button override.

Kele sells these, as well as Intec.
