    union math test

I recently got certified about 6 months ago, found a job, but with the slow winter got laid-off. I'm now trying to pursue the local union in Rochester NY and was wondering or hoping someone could tell me what type(s) of math i should be reviewing or expect on the entrance exam. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Easy dude, you are new here. I thought the same thing. Several posts like this are jokes and result in a flame war. I'm sure he didn't mean any disrespect.

    Thank you gentlemen
i didn't report this thread, but, i assume it was reported because of the endless union bashing that occurs on this site. the consant insults and derogatory comments that are directed at union members on this site is offensive. in this thread alone union members are referred to as lazy, stupid and meth heads. the steamfitters union offers great opportunities for people in this industry. good training, benefits and pay that is, in most cases, unrivaled in the industry. come on dad. you know exactly why this thread was reported.

I appologize if you or anyone else thought I was reffering to union guys as meth heads. I was just making a play on words math-meth and the fact that we have a lot of meth busts in this area for as small as it is.

I'm interested too. Has it changed from 20 years ago?

UA Local 469 in Phoenix posts sample tests and study guides on their website. These examples should give you a fairly good idea of what is expected.
