I'm trying to understand the lo-pass filter option the Fluke 87-V offers. I know it is to filter "high frequent" noise which are typical on vfds. Well today most vfds have filters that reduce this noise. The voltage they deliver is therefore very sinus-like. Nevertheless fluke says that you'll only have correct readings with the 87-V. Why?

Fluke says that the dmm measures voltage as the "motor sees it". Why does the motor not "see" the high-frequent voltage part? Can't understand this one.
