Replace belt on erv energy recovery ventilator. Help??
Has anyone replaced the belt on a erv? This one is made by Airxchange Inc. and is mounted in a Trane ahu. The wheel is probably 6' diameter. What do you have to do to get the belt around the wheel???? Remove the bearing and try to slip the belt around the wheel axle??? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. See pic.

It should slide off then double the belt and insert. They look pretty clean though.

With the wheels I have worked on they are either a link belt or a B belt with a clip. You buy the belt by the foot and need a tool for the clip

I remember years ago using an orange belt that you would cut and heat weld together.
Doesn't sound right now that I write it...but that's what I remember doing. I think they were Carnes.

Goog the model number, It has to be in the manual. If you chose link make sure it's from them. And save the packaging receipt.
