Well a tool is different than an instrument... of course it is a loosely used term...I'll say a voltmeter with the ohms meter and all that is pretty neat stuff.. as far as tools goes i say all 8 fingers and 2 thumbs are the tools i couldn't do without

My Leatherman Wave and my Mini Mag. They go on my belt first thing in the morning and get used more than any other tool everyday. The number of things that I have fixed in a pinch over the years, with just those three tools, is almost embarrassing.
Must have one of those klien 10 folds!
What's the mini bag you speak of?

Also my trusty klien hand tools, all of them. Also like my throwaway husky wrenches. If I lose one I don't cry myself to sleep.

    Got three with missing tips
Won't buy another one. Besides, I wear cargo pants now and ditched the carpenters (fit so nice in that pocket). This being the reason of interest in the 10 fold for me!

    Mini Mag flashlight.

I keep my Folding 10 in 1 in an old Leatherman case. Fits nicely and rides better on my belt than in my pocket. I keep my cell phone in the left leg pocket of my Carhartt's. Dip can in the right leg pocket. I know it isn't healthy, but at this point, I am too old to care.

I wanted to post something similar to this to see if anyone had any tools that have helped them out a lot. I was at the store and bought a right angle screwdriver that could have came in a handy a lot before and it made me think "what else would come in handy that I have not thought of?"

They cost less than back surgery.
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.
