I am thinking about buying one (just herniated a disc). How do you like it? Does it have safties so you won't roll down the stairs too fast? Is it heavy? Tell me more.

Mr double sciatic introduced me to it 20+ years ago and love it. The first one I bought was a steel one top heavy when not loaded and a little hard to turn in tight places but I could move boilers and furnaces with ease. It has a brake to adjust the descent and is rated at 1500 Lbs. The next one I bought is aluminum much nicer to move around it has a auto brake so no more adjusting the brake and wheel locks make it more sure on steps. I have since installed wheel brakes on my steel one also. Never having to worry about getting hurt is great. You would love the aluminum one. They have videos online to watch.

My Leatherman Wave and my Mini Mag. They go on my belt first thing in the morning and get used more than any other tool everyday. The number of things that I have fixed in a pinch over the years, with just those three tools, is almost embarrassing.

The one tool I use on almost every call and it beats a drop lamp or a flash light. The light is always where your looking. Attics and dark basements are a breeze. Half the time on service calls I don't even turn on the lights
