The installer shell script is meant for RHLE 5, which distro are you attempting to install it on?

Digo,
Great hearing from you. I was actually going to call you around Christmas time/New Years as I had a LONworks JACE that died on us and I was going to see if you knew how to resurect it.
Anyhow, I am running Ubuntu 12.04. Love it!

I was able to install AX on Ubuntu quite quickly. What are your problems?

Paul,
I think I am doing something wrong, or my configuration is set up in Ubuntu incorrectly.
So here's what I have:
I downloaded the file and it went in as a .zip file in Downloads. I then created a file called niagara in the Home file.
Nothing seemed to work righ in the terminal window. So now I moved everything to the home file and extracted it to the same Home file. when I run bash install.sh I get the license agreement etc. Once I scroll throuigh this I then enter yes to Agree. It starts to do it's thing and then quickly I get:
current user bas
does not have the proper permissions to create a file in the directory
"/etc/init.d". Please restart the NiagaraAX installer as root or as a user
who has permissions to create files in the directory "/etc/init.d".

Okay,
What I did was as follows:
cd niagara
sudo bash install.sh
Then it took off. Now where is it installed and how do I open it? :-)

Can you not access the link I posted abbove on niagara-central?
read up on docs\EngNotes\LinuxSupervisor\docEn_LinuxSuperviso r.pdf
To start the platform daemon:
<user>@<host>:/usr/bin# niagaradctl start
To verify that the daemon has started:
<user>@<host>:/usr/bin# niagaradctl status
Workbench can be launched:
from the Workbench icon on the desktop
from the Applications Menu (the suggested way).
Running “wb” from the console.

No,
I did access the document, and thanks for the link.
I'm not seeing the icons so I'm trying other things.
