    Cold cellar install

    Has anyone ever installed a high efficiency furnace and hot water heater in a cold cellar?

    My cellar is 12'2" x 4'2" x 7' 2" high (sun porch above cellar) would make a great utility room

    I know it can be done. My question is will it pass code?

    Can't say if it will pass codes or not where you live because we have no idea where that is. Around here it would,provided the furnace installation instructions were followed for the appliance in an unconditioned space. The water heater will also need more combustion air than the cellar size allows so that will have to be corrected one way or another.
