    IFC

First, I did do a search and did not find what I was looking. Perhaps wrong wording in the search bared no fruit. Thus, if this has been answered before, I apologize.

I am looking for the "general theory" behind the "HUM" and "EAC" tabs on any given Integrated Furnace Controller (IFC) board.

    As I assume.....
The HUM tab is energized only when Heating Motor speed Tab is energized.
The EAC tab is energized when either the Heating or Cooling Motor speed Tabs is energized.

    Would my understanding be correct...???
Any further explanation or comments are welcome.

    Thanks,

That's it. Though some turn the hum on with the fire so the pad is getting wet when the blower comes on.

    I'm thinking they pass 120v, not 24v.

Carrier hum terminals are 24v, most are 120v. Rheem's 1st generation Mod had dry contacts but I think the current one is 120V.
