I'm just about to take a drive down to New Orleans from Toronto, make a few stops along the way, Mammoth Cave, Nashville, Memphis, then over to Fla and back north through Savanna, Charleston etc. Never seen New Orleans before, very much looking forward to the trip. Don't tell me so much about the bad drivers!Question authority!

Nice pic toocool. Looks like you're right off S. Claiborne? Coolcajun, how's Braithwaite looking? I live right across the river in Belle Chasse, but haven't been over there since Isaac. I know they got smashed...many people rebuilding?

Drivers are fine in NO. People are friendly but suspicious. Anyone north of South Carolina is considered a Yankee, yep they still use that word.
Food is passable, most of it is fried. You haven't ate until you have a Soft Shell Crab Po Boy. Gotta go through Bourbon Street, try not to breath through your nose or go on a rainy day.
"If" you like to fish,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it's about as close to heaven as you'll get. Check out RODNREELdotcom reports for the latest info.
Don't expect to understand what a cajun says. That takes a lot of listening and many, many extended trips. Most cajuns will give you the shirt off their back, it just might not theirs theirs.
Bring Camo and you'll fit right in.

No good deed goes unpunished.
If you want to take off friday to go fishing then make sure you train your helper right.
