Changing motor on York Series A Curbpak
Hello all,
I am a facilities maintenance tech at the Tulsa Whirlpool Manufacturing Plant. We have about 40 York Series A Rooftop Air Handlers. Recently we lost a motor in one of them and need to replace it. A new motor has been ordered, but we wanted to know if there already existed a lifting device to extract the 15 HP motor. Has anyone ever dealt with these before? Can anyone suggest an easy and safe solution to lift out the old motor and put in the new one?
Thanks.

Depending on conditions indoors , outdoors rigging is all about being creative and saftey possible gantry , chain fall , etc. if it was easy anybody could do it.
Arguing with your Boss is like wrestling with a pig in
mud.
After a while you realize that while you are getting
dirty, the pig is actually enjoying it.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it
creative problem solving.
